Top 3 “Survival Water” Myths Even Doomsday Preppers Fall For (And How To Fix Them Now)

Water Survival Tips

Most people take this completely for granted…

But the fact is, if you were to trace your own water supply right now, you’d find several “threats” that could instantly change the color and quality of what’s coming out of your faucet.

I’m sure you’ve seen the news stories of contaminated city water supply… farm chemical run-off issues… and poisoned wells and waterways from industrial leaks, right?

Unfortunately, even those who consider themselves knowledgeable about water preparedness are making some serious mistakes and here are the…

Top 3 “Survival Water” Myths Even Doomsday Preppers Fall For (And How To Fix Them Now)…

Water Survival Tips

Myth #1:  “I’ll Just Fill Up The Tub!”

Not so fast there Sparky… even those fancy “survival water bladders” that you see on the market won’t help you if the water coming out of your tab is a shade of “brown ooze”.

The only real way to prepare is to store away water NOW – even before you get a yellow-flag warning of problems.

Myth #2:  Water Can Be Stored In Bottles And Jugs

Milk and water jugs are now designed to be biodegradable to save our landfills – which means that they’re actually a not-so-hot choice for long-term storage.

Even cheap water bottles are made with inferior plastic that can leach chemicals into your water and become brittle over time.

Oh, and that “prepper stockpile” you were thinking about for your basement or garage?

You should never place any jugs and bottles (even the large containers) on bare cement because plastic absorbs any chemicals and liquids spilled on the floor and even the nasty stuff used to make the concrete itself.

Best to use something like a wooden pallet to keep it separate.

Myth #3:  Water Will “Expire”

Nope.  Water can’t “expire”.  Ever.

It CAN become foul and make you sick if it’s not stored correctly though (see Myth #2 above).

Having a water filter available will help a lot, but if your water is stored correctly, it will do all the heavy lifting for you.

For example, you want to store your water in BPA-Free, BLUE containers because the color blue naturally reduces light exposure and contamination of your water from biological growth (bacteria and algae).

Your best option is one of the new survival water bricks you can get here

Survival Water Bricks Review:

I really like the survival bricks because not only are they blue and designed for long-term safe water storage, but they stack up so you can fit them anywhere you like (like in a closet or even under a bed).

Plus, if you need to “bug out”, you can just grab however many you want and throw them into the back of your car or truck while everyone else is fist-fighting over the last water bottles down at the grocery store.

AND… you can load things other than water as well – such as dry goods (like beans, rice, etc.) – anything you want to store large amounts of and have them kept safe and ready.

These things are on my “must-have” list for anyone serious about prepping.

I recommend you get several and they’re discounted here…

Don’t let this be one of those “I should have listened to Jeff!” moments when the water coming out of your sink turns to brown goo.
